These are glued pvc tubes so extra care is needed to limit the inflation pressure. The tubes are designed for 8:1 factor of safety at 1 psig. The longer waterline of Maxxon tubes provides higher buoyancy values than equivalent length competing brands. These tubes will accommodate Length-6 ft frames with room to spare.
At the 3" to 6" displacements, these boats handle excellent. Both the 14 and 16 ft CataRaft are like racecars which can negotiated by one person on and off the river.
