It came to my attention that we US citizens have the largest carbon footprint of any society on the planet. In fact, we are the carbon pigs of the planet. We at Rowframe.Com have reduced our footprint to the absolute lowest of any river product manufacturer. We did this by turning off unused machinery, turning out the lights, working in the absence of air conditioning, using extruded in lieu of forged components, abandoning our paper catalog, and cloth bagging our lunch.
We do these things for reasons threefold:
We like to criticize the Catholic Church for overpopulating the earth. It’s not entirely true but we like to do it anyway.
We like to criticize the Brazilians for cutting down the Amazon rainforest. It’s not entirely true but we still like to blame them anyway.
We like to criticize the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, Lawyers, Insurance People, Real Estate People and all the other parasites in our society. We like to criticize them cause it's fun.
I offer some suggestions: Double up on our river trips. Yes, Pack the truck with as many humans as possible to reduce the unit fuel consumption. Abandon the notion of bonfires on sandbars as our forefathers once did. Eat cold food, drink warm beer and refuse to shave. Do Not cut down tamarisk ???? so that LA and LasVegas can continue to experience run-a-muck water consumption.
The cheapest way out of this mess is to quit breeding humans, plant 6 trillion trees and let the grass grow. There is far too much unproductive acreage is this country to waste. It’s an economic as well as an ecological crime. gs
The analysis of 40 million porch lights left on for 12 hours per evening for a year. The result is 1900 + carloads of coal (anthricite). The value nearly doubles (3700 carloads) for bitiminous coal. The moral of this story is: "turn off your porchlight"
